Well here is the answer!!!, its prinzmetals angina.

As I said before two ecgs were taken within minutes of each other, one shows St segment elevation and other does not. This patient has prinzmetals angina.

Prinzmetals angina is also called angina inversa, or variant angina or vasospastic angina or transient angina.

it is more common in owmen and is due to vasospasm of the smooth vessel cells on the vascular vessel wall. Thus there have been theories floating around blaming harmones for the same!!!.

About 60-75% of who suffer from coronary vasospasm also have mild coronary arteyr disease, even thogh this mild disease does not explain the vasospasm and these people spapsm in the regions of the coronaries which has mild disease.

Pain usually occurs at rest and usually at night. also unlike most angina which causes ST segment depression this one causes ST segment elevation. The pain typically responds to nitrolingual spray and calcium channel blockers like nifedpeine and diltiazem.
