I really don't know the stuff well at all.
Even though I'm passing, it is not good enough, since anyone asking me any question about the most of the organ systems will realize I am completely confused about it.

I don't know how to remediate laziness.

Just keep working at it I guess. We all feel like frauds to some extent. I just keep waiting for the other shoe to drop for them to realize I'm way too dumb to be a doctor, but here I am getting ready to finish up 3rd year.

Whenever you feel too dumb, I recommend watching some reality TV to put things in perspective. Actually scratch that, it's not worth having to suffer through watching that.

Bring this to the attention of your counselors and advisors who will give you excellent tips.

You are not alone. It's a lot of information to swallow.

Yeah, what's that quote? "Think of how dumb the average person is, then remember that half of people are dumber than that."

C=M.D. Until you fail the boards.
I'd tell you that you're probably fine, but your self assessment of your group work is not good. I hope you're planning to take the summer off and do some serious remediation. Failing the boards is going to hurt your career. You can still turn it around, but if you don't you can forget about any remotely competitive specialties and any superior residency programs.
If it's any consolation, 2nd year is much better, more clinically relevant, etc. But don't forget that you need to understand the material from 1st year to pass the boards. Obviously anatomy is something you must master.
Figure out what you're doing wrong and get on about fixing it.

I think it should be "think of how dumb the median person is, then remember that half of people are dumber than that." But that doesn't have as good a ring to it.

IQ has a normal distribution, so mean = median in this case.
