Stanford 10 weeks post-interview?

Has anyone gone over 8 weeks post-interview at Stanford without hearing anything? I am about 10 weeks out now and am scratching my head - I called the office the other morning and was treated very rudely by the woman on the phone. She told me to hang in there then hung up on me - anyone else in the same boat?

This Thursday is going to be week 7 post interview for me, and no news. I talked with someone at admissions who told me the committee is very backlogged, and thus people have been waiting longer than usual. There is this rumor that accepted people were usually notified by the fourth week, but I think that the backlog thing is a reality and I believe that people who interviewed in late January and later will be affected. I called at week 5 and they told me my app had not even reached the committee. I suppose it will go this week or next week. I hope it didn't go to committee week 6, cuz I didn't get a call.

Interesting...because one of my friends interviewed mid feb and was rejected exactly 2 weeks later! Well...the Thursday of the second week she didn't get a phone call and then sometime the following week she got the rejection letter. Perhaps what they really mean to say is that your app has not reached a decision with the committee? That can be a good sign because it means they probably like you but perhaps want to wait for the rest of the apps to come in. When I interviewed in March they had only given out half their accepts. Plus they are interviewing through April. So it seems likely that that is the case. If they were really backlogged how in the heck could theyhave rejected my friend so quickly? Her file would never have made it to committee if they were backlogged.

I also interviewed mid Jan, and 8 weeks for me is this Thurs. Like I said in another post, I know someone rejected already that interviewed near the same time as me. Let me know if any of you hear anything, I'm not sure if I'm going to call...
