has anyone heard from any of these schools post-secondary? if not, does anyone know when we should expect to start hearing?

UPenn won't start interviewing people until Oct. 15. Check the status page to see if your app is complete.

Didn't apply to UCSF, but if they're anything like UCSD, they're slow to update the status page!

About Upenn, you mean they start interviewing people on the 15th? Or they start sending out invitations on the 15th?

Nothing from Stanford...it's been awhile since I turned in the secondary.

UCSF asks for nothing more on their secondary unless you're doing the JPM or MSTP program...and even these forms require only short answers. UCSF sends their secondaries out pretty quickly. I am not sure how the initial screening is like, but it shouldn't be that long after your verified AMCAS (less than the 3-10 weeks).

Nothing from Stanford or Penn yet. Of course, for some reason, MSAR says Stanford starts accepting regular decision applicants on Oct. 15th.

I believe they start reviewing applications on the 15th...sorry if I was unclear about that!🙂

I just heard that Penn will be sending out interview invites starting next week. They interview October 15th - February 6 on almost every Wednesday and Friday excluding holidays. The one exception is in December, when they stop interviewing Friday the 12th.

I sent in my UCSF secondary mid-August and they only cashed my check yesterday!

I don't know if that says anything about how quickly they are looking through these secondaries, but I always thought that the school would take your money first before they give your secondary a look.

I'm a first year at Penn and I will be participating in the interview process here. I received an e-mail from the admissions director about interview invites yesterday.

I've been complete at Penn for more than a month now. Still nothing heard from them.

Same goes for Stanford. I've been trying to call them for the past 1 week but i get some guys voice mail. I said to the operator lady yesterday that i would like to speak with a real life person and that i am tired of leaving voice mails that i never get an answer back but she still connected me to the same dudes voice mail.

I just give up 🙂

I have not heard anything from Stanford and it has been over a month since I submitted the secondary. I think they just take a very long time to evaluate everyone, plus I think the adcom did not meet that often lately.
I'll wait a little bit more and if I hear nothing I'll stop by the medical school, maybe I can get a person to talk to me. Everytime I call, I get a machine.

Whoever hears anything first please keep us posted.

For those trying to estimate processing times, my UPenn application was complete by the beginning of september and my UCSF application was complete by the middle of september.

It seems like UCSF interview invite came in very fast. I can't believe they make a decision so soon? From middle of september to end of september is ONLY 2 weeks. Congratulation on your interview!
