For those of you who interviewed at Stanford, how long did it take to get a post-interview answer from them? And has anyone who interviewed in late Feb heard from them?

Thanks in advance for any answer.

i interviewed in late december and heard mid january. they meet on thrusdays (i think twice a month. and then call you right after if you got in. good luck.

does anyone know if the committee meets every thursday or every other thursday?
i've heard conflicting info...

I have heard that they meet every other thursday. Good luck..

anyone else?

bc i thought i heard from somewhere they met every thursday...?

I'm pretty sure that they are meeting tonight, for whatever that's worth. At least, that's what the woman in the MSTP office said.

Good luck all,

Adam

but is the MSTP schedule the same for regular MD?

And yes, the admissions committee did meet tonight.

I interviewed Feb 25th and got a call at 9:30 this morning from a Dr Fisher that I'm in. What an honor! Stanford is a great school and I liked it a lot!...we'll see how the finanical aid works out though, they are traditionally pretty generous I heard. Good luck to everyone!!!

That's really funny. I interviewed Feb 25th also... I'm sure I would remember you since I think there were only about 5 of us that day. Anyway, congratulations on the good news. I'm stuck at work, so after reading your post I hope there's a message on my answering machine at home. Do you know if they call you regardless of their decision, or only if they accept you?

WAAHHZUUPPPPPAHHH!!! 😛

Nope, I was the guy from Princeton. Who were you? It sounds like our interview group is doing well for themselves, which probably bodes poorly for me. I never received the call. I guess I'll probably have to hope for the wait list.

Yeah, I remember you I think, it makes sense from your name cause I recall you telling me you live and work in SD. I was the guy from Univ. of Chicago working at the Mayo Clinic right now (regretting it by the way since I'm looking at snow <img border="0" title="" alt="[Eek!]" src="eek.gif" /> accumulate outside my window)

I couldn't believe I got the call, I actually gave up when they didn't call thurs night but I got home from work fri. and there was a message on my answering machine. I'm debating between Penn and Stanford...you were leaning towards Columbia if I can recall correctly. Is that still no# 1 for you or is Stanford in the running? That low avg. debt of 50K sure is appealing

Yeah, I remember you too. I'm still thinking Columbia, but if I get the call from Stanford, that low debt and amazing weather will probably get me out to palo alto. I just called the office and Patricia told me they haven't made a decision on my application yet. I also got into penn, so maybe I'll see you over at Penn Preview. Right now I have no read on Penn, so I'm waiting to be sold on the place in April.
