Stanford had an acceptance rate of 1.1%. Of the 8409 applicants, 499 received interviews, and 90 received an acceptance. Of the 8409 applicants, 499 received interviews, and 90 received an acceptance.

Their class size is 90. Last year they received 8998 applications and sent out 156 acceptances. 1.73% isn't much better but ya😀

Literally the lowest acceptance rate for t10. Am I just doing them charity giving them my app?

Sorry to hear that. When did you complete your secondary?

[imsogonnagetrejected]

Sorry to hear that. When did you complete your secondary?

07/27. it literally took them 6 days which is crazy

[superstar101]

super interesting that Stanford doesn't have a gap year prompt... are y'all dropping that info somewhere into another prompt?

[quirkybric2040]

I submitted my amcas to them today. i haven't received my secondary, do they screen?

They do not pre-screen! Once your app is verified, you will receive one (or they may send it while it is processing).

Okay thank you! Idk I was a bit worried since I added them to AMCAS around noon today, and its now 5 pm...

It could take days for them to send you a secondary after primary, so don't stress if you don't get it today. They send to every MD applicant

[medluma]

I'm gonna cry, OOS II! Submitted secondary 06/30, LM = 75

Edit: MD only

[katelynn]

omg Congratulations!! did you expect to get it? Do you think your application was a good mission fit with Stanford?

What type of question is this?

[premedbarista]

for the "Do you have peer-reviewed publications resulting from scholarly endeavors?" question, does being 3rd author count? like i definitely was a part of it but it isn't really "my" publication lol

My assigned interview date from Stanford conflicts with an interview date I had already scheduled for another school. I emailed admissions asking to reschedule, and they refused. Like bruh, cmon.

Do I email the other school and try to get that interview rescheduled?

When did you hear back from them? I have a travel conflict but haven't heard back yet...Did you email or message through the applicant portal?

Adding onto this, how flexible is moving between MD and dual degrees? (e.g., MD/MBA, MD/JD, MD/etc.)

Current Stanford MD student here. This is pretty flexible, have plenty of classmates that have added on an MD/MBA or MD/PhD after matriculating (though I haven't yet heard of an MD/JD.) Basically, you'd apply to the second degree program during either MS1 or MS2 year and typically take time off between MS2 and MS3 years to complete the second degree.

Have you received the secondary yet? I was verified around the same date and have not received it.

yes! i received mine the day after. since it has been about 10 days now, maybe it's worth it to reach out to them tbh?

[Punkchique]

Has anyone been able to reschedule interview date?

Super late to this convo but Stanford also likely has a high % of primary applicants who do not finish the secondary — same with Duke, so once you submit the secondary your odds are likely boosted a bit

+1 OOS MD and PSTP! this feels insane

[storm_caller]

Anyone know when the first interview date is/was?

[throwingthisinthemix]

Hey yall. I got an email saying there is a "virtual social with our med students around the time of your interview day," but my interview day is Wednesday and I haven't heard anything. Anyone know if the social is before or after the interview? Or what day of week typically?

[sparse]

So this was one of my last secondaries I procrastinated... is it worth applying at all this late or is it just a complete donation

wow great to hear, I will shoot my shot then!

[FastBlah]

If I'm a co-author on a publication that was submitted for review to a journal, does that count as a "peer-reviewed publication resulting from scholarly endeavors?" Ik it seems obvious but I'm j not sure if it counts b/c it's not officially published yet. Also, could we put down abstracts submitted to conferences or no?

Submitting is not the same as being accepted for publication so you will have to wait on that one to list it.

[katelynn]

If you applied to multiple programs (eg. regular MD and PSTP), do all programs have to make a decision about II before you can receive a notice or do they reach out separately?
