Hey there
For those that applied to stanford, how long did you wait to get a reject or interview. I applied there and it is top of my list. you better not read this thread without replying otherwise, i hurt you by withdrawing your application. :meanie:

complete 8/23, still waiting

Don't make hurt YOU... just kidding 😉

Besides, Stanford is essentially non-rolling.

Complete. . . um. . . late Aug? Early Sept? something like that - haven't heard a dang thing. 😡

Complete like early August, my second secondary completed, maybe late July...

Heard nothing since...

complete 8/29 not a word since.

Complete since 8/14 here...no news yet. I really feel as if that's a good thing though - they're sending out quite a few rejection letters.

Per the Stanford website, they start the invite process in late Oct/early Nov so few people have heard from them yet.

Any invites from Stanford lately (besides Argonana)? I've been completely since Late-July, nothing. Have they started interviewing yet?

Complete July 05, got a rejection by snail mail about 2 weeks ago. Anyone know anything about their appeals process? I tried calling them last week, but the fellow who deals with us has been away from his desk ALL THE TIME, it seems. yarg.

Completed Aug 10th, still no word.

I spoke with an admissions personel at a conference yesterday, and he said "If you haven't heard anything yet, that's good news."

Hang in there 👍

Completed secondary and submitted around september 10th. Have not heard a word........ 😕

well, i just took some time to look through their website, and it does say that their interviews take place between December and April. So, I'm not so worried anymore. There is still A LOT of time for them to invite us to interviews and fall in love with us and accept us!!!!

you withdrew? .... i still haven't heard anything, but I'm going to keep my application in there just in case. i hear great things about Stanford. the ones who love it, REALLY love it.

That's a good way to look at it. I like the way you think. 👍

Yes, I withdrew. I like everything I've read about Stanford, and I think it's a fantastic school. Maybe I'll apply there later for residency. But now is not the right time in my life for me to pick up and move clear across the country. It would be a big hardship on my family versus if I go to the Midwest or the Northeast, or stay in the South. But if you end up going there, Seattle, maybe I'll come visit you. 😉

So Stanford IS rolling admission. HOWEVER, they are rolling once they have started interviewing. If you have not heard from Stanford, is because your application is still being reviewed.....

good luck. I don't think I would be happier anywhere else but at Stanford Med.

:luck: :luck: :luck:

ok, yeah, so.....

anyone heard anything lately? I have not...

Nothing here, yet, either.

mid august... nada 🙁

stanford is def. a great place to be

I have a letter from a Chairman of one of the depts at Stanford, BUT below avergae stats. Would they care and give weight to the LOR? It is a very good letter.

Oh Stanford, I'll wait for you for as long as it takes.
Call me.
Love,
(Your Name Here)

When did I get to be so needy?

How do you know exactly what is in the letter? Is the department at Stanford Med School or from the Arts and Sciences?

I just saw your signature line...what exactly DO you consider impressive?

Exactly...

Just got back from Stanford interview. I had a great time. It really is all they say it will be. For those wondering, I don't think they have done very many interviews so far (maybe 2 weeks) and they said they have not had a decisions meeting for any regular decision applicants. For those waiting, breath easy. It is still very very early in Stanford's process.

pseudo-humility for the win? He knows it's great, else he wouldn't be interviewing at Harvard, Yale, WashU, Stanford, Cornell, Mayo, Vanderbilt.....🙄

SO how were your interviews? What kinds of questions did they ask? Who interviewed you? (students or faculty?) What did you like best about it? What did you like least? C'mon.....fill us in!! 😀
