This may be a silly thing, but I saved my Stanford application in explorer. For the essays they only allow 25 and 12 lines of text and I filled every single line with my essays.
When I opened the application in a different browser, I noticed that my 25 lines essay was only 20 and I could write more stuff w/o getting cut. The same with the second essay (12 lines went to 9).

Did anyone had a similar situation? Should I make the essays longer?

Thanks.

Stanford's secondary app is unusual in that you can type more than 25/12 lines of text without it appearing to be truncated. But if you view the supplemental application in its PDF format, you'll see that you really are given only 25 /12 lines. So it is best to double check that way.

Good luck

Just wondering, can somebody tell me how many characters or words can go in 25/12 liner essays? Thanks!

approx 900 -1000 characters with spaces for 12 lines

approx. 1900 characters with spaces for 25 lines.

That was how it worked out for my essays.
