Staph vs salmonella

Which will be the answer in sickel cell? Honestly, I saw u world that said, there are new studies that show that staph is the most common. So, what do i pick? any inputs?

S. aureus is the correct answer. They are at just at an increased risk compared to others. This is probably more of a pimp question to answer rather than a question you'd have to recognize on an NBME/step 2/shelf

If the answer is salmonella, they won't give you staph as an answer choice. The only other time I might pick salmonella is if they ask like "which pathogen are they at an increased risk of having as the potential source of infection"
