foreign trained dentist , living in NYC, I started to study today and plan to take the exam by mid April, as I have been told it takes 3 months to study to shoot for 90's.
I do have some study materials.

you have a long way to go if u havent started anything untill now..depends, how much time ago u graduated from the dental school...........if its been a while then u need to brush up the basics..n then u can start mugging up!!

I'm a new member. I plan on taking part I this spring or fall. I'm interested in a study partner in NYC, prerferably a girl. Also can anyone guide me n lemme know if my study resources r enough? (dental decks 2007, first aid for nbde I, nbde secrets, kaplan review, released exams & a few other ADA recommended texts). Any comments or suggestions r appreciated.

Yes it is a great feeling to be relieved from the burden, untill you get your results.. still waiting for the scores..Anyways,I would suggest you to start with kaplan notes as i did that.You can also do one thing.You can start chapter wise and read the same chapter from decks..and then, when you are done with that subject you can solve questions to see how much have you understood..By mugging up i mean cramming or memorizing.. See its not how much you read, its about how much you retain.. so i'd say revise as much as u can..

you can start with the kaplan rightaway b'coz kaplan book is very exam oriented. Reading text books wud make a good base but is very time consuming.You can use text books as a reference (when u need to clear your doubts).

started studying on 1st jan...did start with anatomy.. but it all kept going over my head.... been more than 4 years since completing first year...
i finished my internship on 31st dec...
i wud like to keep in touch with u guys.... im doing dental anatomy now... doing wheelers properly.. along with nbde first aid and decks... and then reviewing the old questions....

as far as wot i have got to know is dat applications last date is in sept..and appearing in the exam can be anytime in june..to give a fair time for results and all dat..
wots ur opinion on dis!! i may have the wrong info..
i want to start on 1st feb..and june 1st is my target..
i would be more than glad to start sharing information and also plan studies...👍
