I just accepted the Penn pre-health postbac offer and am moving to Philly sometime in the next two weeks. Nothing like waiting until the last minute to decide, right?:)

I'd love to find out who else is starting this summer and whether they are doing the pre-health or special science programs. Either way, we're all in this together, right?

Also, in case any current/ former Penn postbacs are reading this, do you have suggestions about where to live?

    Thanks!

I didn't decide to start the Post bacc at Penn until July when I did it. I didn't live in the city as a post bacc, because I already lived in the area. As to living in the city, my happiest friends live in Center City, but the rents are really high. The art museum area is pretty, but the transportation is awful and it takes forever to get to campus either by driving or taking public transportation. If you live in West Philly, stay closer to campus. This is especially important North of campus where you don't want to stay very very close to Penn and Drexel. South of campus, you can go out a few blocks, and the rents are better. I would check the campus bus/ escort coverage area on the website and definitely not go beyond that range.
