Hi I am starting my first year of DO this fall at, NYIT NYCOM and I wanted to open up a thread for any advise you have to share. I would appreciate if you can tell me what books are necessary, how a typical day is like, what study schedule should I follow, ...etc

Advice: just roll with it. You still have plenty of time to chill before school starts. If you arent from that area you can start to scope out places to live though

Don't buy anything until school starts and enjoy the summer. You'll find out most everything you need to know during the first couple weeks of school.

Everyone starts out thinking they need to be proactive about everything in medical school. Once you start, you will realize that you just have to play it day by day. Check out your school-specific forum if you're dieing to know some of the details
