i am a 2001 ucb graduate with a BA in psych...after working for a couple years, ive decided to apply to optometry school. During my undergraduate coursework, I took NO hard science, physics or math courses. I do have an overload of psychology courses, though! Long story short, it is too pricey to finish the additional 2 years i'll need to get through the reqs at UCB. Ive decided to finish up at either Cal state northridge, fullerton, or long beach. Any thoughts or advice on this? Will optometry admissions look down on the fact that Im taking most of the required courses at a cal state? My UCB gpa was a 3.44. I need some direction...please help! 😕

That won't be a problem. A lot of students are not "tradition," so many of them have finished their BA/BS degree and then complete the pre-reqs somewhere else. Your current GPA is very good, if you maintain it, or increases it, you will be in very good shape.

Good luck.
