Ok, heres the situation: Ive lived in NC since 2009, graduated from a state univ. and have a NC drivers license. My parents recently moved to PA and officially closed on the NC house on July 30. They moved into the PA house around Aug 16, however, my dad has also had an apt. there since Jan. My mom was employed in NC until June and my dad employed in PA since Jan., both full-time. Im also still living in my apt. in NC until December.
I ended up applying to both PA and NC state schools on AMCAS while listing the NC house as my permanent address. I just assumed that I would be able to claim both residencies due to the fact that my parents paid taxes, established residencies and held full-time employment in both states for at least 6 mos, however, I really don't know AAMC's stance on dual residency. Am I even allowed to give a permanent address on the PA secondaries that differs from the one on my primary? If anyone has insight or advice to share I would be greatly appreciative 😀
