I hate statistics. I cannot for the life of me understand why it's a prerequisite, and can't be substituted by Calculus I & II. Yes, it's a prerequisite for some schools.. if you're in Texas. (Texas. It just likes being special, doesn't it?)

So, out of the kindness of your hearts (if you still have them after MCATs/primary applications/secondary applications.. or just thinking about any of the above), please answer this very short survey for a stats class project.

Question 1. Approximately how many hours do you spend on Facebook daily?
Question 2. How do you spend the majority of your Facebook time? (e.g. posting updates, reading friend’s posts, chatting, playing games, etc.)

If you answer (seriously, please), thanks for your time..
😀

Why is a prereq? Because it's applicable and you need to be able to understand the statistics of medical literature.

1. 3 hours
2. Lurking.

I like keeping in touch with humans outside my school, especially those who are pursuing other stuff.
1. Have the application running on my phone, so technically whenever.
2. Lurk and use the chat

Honestly, I still do not understand the dislike for Facebook. Just have only people that you are interested in communicating with as your friends. Yes, you can communicate over text messaging or phone, But either of those are not really easy to share stuff like whole photo albums with, especially since most people nowadays just keep photos in digital format.

Just going with the flow, I don't want to make other people's life more difficult by forcing them to cater to my special non-techy needs.

"Oh I am sorry, can not see your photos from the party because I do not have an account, mind running down to CVS and printing me out the set and stand there why I verbally comment and praise particular photos"

Okay, okay, I technically know why it's a prereq.. I'm just griping about having to re-take statistics on a minor technicality. (Admittedly, while stats still has that brain-killing level of boring, at least the professor isn't putting me to sleep this time. 🙄)

Personally, I only use Facebook to keep up with my friends, since many have relocated to different parts of the country since high school/college.. (And some to other countries with 9+ hour time differences...)

Shoot, why can't Statistics be substituted with Calc I? That's my question. :/

1) 0.25
2) Probably about 1/4 updating, 3/4 reading

Also, it may help you to know that statistics is actually broadly useful for science, including medicine. You WILL use it, unlike, probably, calculus. (Edit: I didn't see it's a re-take, but good luck to you anyway.)

I took my stats class online and I thought it was quite a lot more annoying than Calculus.

However, in the context of research and publishing and writing papers, it's about 100 times more useful.

Well, the real answer is, because they're completely ****ing different...

Lol.

SDN doesn't help with homework.

especially after you insult the very useful/awesome stats class.

not cool.
