Hello,

Does anyone know of a good statistics listserv. For example, a listserv where you could post statistics questions and help each other out. Are there any other valuable resources you have used or know about?

Thank you!

I've used Wikipedia help/reference desk/science. It's of course not a stats listserve but nevertheless...

There are always reader/experts who answer. Sometimes it takes a day or longer for somebody to know the response to your q.

good luck.

Our stats professor had one or two questions he expressly and repeatedly forbid us from posting on that listserv so that we wouldn't reflect badly on him.

I was going to say our stats professor is my listserv

There is a structural equation modeling listserv (SEMnet http://www2.gsu.edu/~mkteer/semnet.html).

Most the questions asked are focused on SEM, but some people ask more general statistics questions.

Not a listserv, but I peruse http://www.talkstats.com/ from time to time (yes...I am in fact nerdy enough to read stats forums for fun, in case you had any doubts).

Be warned it seems to be primarily biostats/mathematics folks rather than applied folks, so they are more likely to be able help with selecting optimal formulas for producing unbiased estimators than with conceptual questions (aside from simple ones from undergrads who need homework help).
