Hey guys,

Is it possible for accepted students to post their gpa and MCAT (even a range if their uncomfortable stating exact numbers) so that pre-podiatry students can get a feel of what to expect. I know that each school has an average, but I find averages not very helpful since 1 outlier can greatly skew an average. Greatly appreciate it!

Asking SDN members for their stats will not get you a more accurate representation of the accepted student average stats.

One way to reduce the effect of outliers on a data set by including the largest number of sample data possible. For example, ALL of the matriculated students or ALL of the accepted students.

The data you already have is the most accurate data you can possibly obtain, it includes the official statistics for ALL of Podiatry students/applicants.

You will get a more skewed set of data from the small number of applicants who use SDN.

Thanks, I guess I'm just kinda anxious since I'm in the application process and just wanted to gauge myself with accepted students. Thanks for the stats Panther!
