Status Checks and Interview indication?

Do any of the current status checks on DRako's site indicate if schools will request and interview, or grant an acceptance?

yes: davis, ucla, vandy as far as i know.

USC (Keck) puts the interview invite on, but they also e-mail you. I think I remember someone saying Pittsburgh puts on their site the fact that they've sent you something, which could then turn out to be either an invite or a rejection.

Davis doesn't give you advance notice as far as I know. They post the update after you've already made the appointment.

Jasmine, i was gonna say you have both mixed (Cincy does show acceptance), but could you clarify that OSU accepted someone and had it on the status check? Thanks 🙂

Resident,
OSU updates the site after they have recieved your intent to matriculate letter. So no..you don't find out you are accepted on the site, only by mail to my knowledge. After you send the affirmative letter back to them, the status check says you have accepted a place in the class.

Not if OSU accepts me 🙂 But since theyve 'listed me, and there hasnt been any news lately.....sigh 🙁

I just thought I you had said this somewhere recently.
I like to keep up with people who could be classmates of mine next year! And you seem like a pleasant sort.
I think you'll get into OSU! I know a girl who didn't interview at OSU until April (her letters of rec got completely screwed up)and she got into OSU off the waitlist during the summer! So I wouldn't be pessimistic. Cincinnati is also great! I didn't apply to MCO (HATED!!their "cultural competence" essay!) But I have heard very good things about MCO. And Case (but $$$$$$!)
Anyway, my husband is not too keen on Toledo (but he would move if it had so happened that MCO was the only med school that accepted me!)

I got into MCO, too. It may be between Toledo and D.C. The strange thing is, I am actually considering Toledo's lack of joie de vivre as a plus as it will force me to buckle down and concentrate on med school!

It's sort of a stupid point, but OSU I think does change the status after they send you the letter -- after I signed at the X and sent them the deposit the status changed to "attendance expected". Anyway. I might just be remembering wrong.
