step 1 during IM rotation

I asked this in the rotations forum, but I wanted to get more responses.

I am almost fully prepared and will need about 12 more days to wrap up my step 1 studying. I still need to review pharm, biochem, neuro, and psych. Should I take the exam 12 days into my IM rotation or is that a bad idea? Or should I just take it within the next couple days like I originally had scheduled?

In fact, in my school I can't even start rotations until I took step 1.
