I am an M2. I didn't do too hot 1st year as I slacked off a bit. I don't remember too much physiology, biochem, embryo, or anatomy (maybe I am just freaking out and I do actually remember more than I think).
I would rather have all Passes (our school is H/P/F) and get a KICK ASS Step 1 score. I know the two correlate, but I think I could do well on the Step if I prepared from now. I am doing much better academically with Path and Micro/Immuno this year as I am keeping up.
What can I do to prepare myself for the Step the best? I just bought First Aid and have started to read a page or two before I go to bed (nerdy I know).
I know doing well in classes will prepare me for the boards, but does Step 1 cover as much detail as they do in class? I would rather pass with high yield First Aid material and kick ass on the boards rather than Honor every class.
Not looking for an easy way out, just know I am not smart enough as most people to Honor all classes and dedicate 4-6 weeks of Step 1 studying and kick ass...I know I will have to start now.
