Step 2 Books

A couple of quick questions for anybody that could help.

1) I am a DO and am about to take the COMLEX Level II. Does anybody have any suggestions for which are the best books to study in about a month's time?

2) I already took the USMLE Step I. Should I also consider taking Step II early. I have heard that DOs should take the exam early. Is this true?

3) Is it possible to register for just the CK portion of the USMLE Step II?

Any help on any of these questions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks to all in advance and good luck to everybody in the upcoming year.

I don't know about COMLEX, but I'm going to study for Step II with the Crush the Boards and also the Kaplan Q bank.

As per Quinn don't spend much time on Swansons (if you choose to at all). I used it for 1.5 days of studying. Flew over ob, peds, and possibly preventative medicine.
