Hi I am a us medical student and I am doing a one year prelim in 2017. I was wondering if PD can see that we failed step 2 CS but passed it the second time around. I will be reapplying in the 2018 round

Hi ddpain34,

Yes, unfortunately program directors and anyone who looks up your application can see your second attempt. It shows up, quite literally, as a red flag in your ERAS application. That being said, don't despair as many people still match despite CS attempts. You're already ahead by being a US-MD, and you have some time to impress everyone around you during your preliminary year! Keep your head down and push through until applications are due at the end of the summer, good luck!
