Was a very easy test

No difficult cases, no difficult patients (one was ornery but ultimately a good patient), and no tricks and traps.

Simple cooking cutter cases all the way through

First Aid CS was pretty much the only source i needed.

UWorld and Kaplan was overkill IMO.

Then again, maybe I simply had an easier time with the cases?

When did you take it?...specifically did it have the new 2012 format where you have to put physical and Hx findings to support 3 diagnosis? If so, what did you think? Thanks!

Yes it did

It was usually very easy to get at least 3 Hx findings.

In some cases, like the classic female abdominal pain, it was also very easy to get more than 3 physical exam findings.

However, I did not have any patients with "simulated" exam findings like paint on skin, perspiration over the brow, etc...

I had one case in which I had to resort to pertinent negatives on examination (e.g. no chest pain on palpation, no palpitations auscultated, no focal neurological deficits)

in case you didn't know --> saying anything about the CS exam is not allowed, especially mentioning a specific case/clinical complaint....you may want to delete your posts

I agree. Our questions are based around the format of the actual test but you are being very specific by including actual cases and CCs. This is not appropriate and should be removed.

I don't think he is giving specifics... he's being pretty general and just using very generic examples where no one would even be able to determine the case. i dont think the usmle people will hunt you down 🙂

I edited it

I did give specific cases earlier.

Just assured, it was nothing highly specific. Everything I had was very similar to what was in First Aid CS
