Just in case anyone else is curious about such things...

Apparently when you take Step 2 CS, they provide you with a meal halfway through the test. Which is of course super-exciting (I love free food), unless your villi have some mysterious grudge against gluten. So I called the info line to see if they could tell me anything about what kind of food they usually have at the testing centers, and the lady basically said she couldn't be sure. They do always have a vegetarian option, and they used to have a kosher option as well, but I guess they don't necessarily guarantee that anymore.

So moral of the story is, if you disagree with any food, or any food disagrees with you, it's probably a good idea to bring your own lunch just in case.

Anyone who's already taken the test have any input?

With what they charge for the test, I don't think you can call it "free."

..and they only give you 45mins total access to the food. They mentioned during our second (15min) break that it would be gone after our last patient encounter. At that time >75% of the food was still there. Sure enough, by the time we were done the food had disappeared..

I wonder what they do with the extra food...

btw, if you call dibs on certain extra food and put it at your desk, it's yours to keep, i snatched up 4 soda cans a bunch of cookies and a second sandwich and ate it on my ride home after.
