Quick question about step 2 CK - if I take it around August 20, I imagine it won’t come back in time for the September 15 date to submit ERAS, but can residency programs still see it after it gets back? When do most programs typically start looking at apps? I have been making good progress with my shelf exams and think I have a decent chance of doing quite better on step 2 than step 1 and wanted programs to see my score if possible. Thanks for the help.

You should be in the sweet spot where you have the option of releasing your step 2 score to residencies if you want to. Any score that comes back before sept 15 will automatically get sent to residency programs, but if it comes back after that, I believe you have to manually go back into ERAS and select the option to release your step 2 score. Some residencies start reviewing apps immediately after sept 15, and some even start sending interviews before oct 1, which is when mspe letters are released. Best of luck!
