As with Step 1, do as many questions as you can. As with step 1, Uworld is considered the best bank.
As with Step 1, a good but concise review book is a must. For step 2, a book called USMLE Step 2 secrets is considered the best. First Aid less so.
As with Step 1, you should generally avoid longer, more in-depth books and reviews. There simply isn't time, nor is it necessary.
Most people need about half the time they took for Step 1 prep to do equally well on Step 2.
As with all standardized tests, being calm and confident is a big help on test day. Breathe. Meditate. Eat. Take breaks often. Whatever you need to do to stay focused. It's a long exam, 9 hours (8 blocks of 41-45 Q each and 1 break block which you can split as you please) so practice your endurance and work out how you will take your breaks to best suit your own personal needs. That's key and people often forget about it.
