Id like some advice in regards to Step 2CK. Will be taking it soon. I have been studying for a while now, and I'm using UW and Kaplan books.

I feel I need to read the books multiple times in order to remember things. I feel like I"m going to fail.

Should I be using other materials to study other than this? What is the typical amount of time US grads study for this test?

Also I keep getting UW in the 60's. I see that alot of the averages are low, but still. How does UW compare with Step 2CK the real thing?

I have concentration issues as well as reading issues because English is not my native language. I need to do well since I didn't do so hot on step 1.

Can anyone please give me some ideas as to what else to do?

From what I've seen, most US grads don't have a block of time exclusively dedicated to just CK. Instead, they study for CK on top of one or more relatively light electives. So I'd say 1-2 months of a couple of hours in the evenings devoted to getting through World and maybe 1-2 supplementary books is what folks tend to do.

Most people who score better than 50s in UW seem to do alright on the exam. IMHO the questions in UW are harder but shorter than the real thing.

Do you think the Kaplan books are an appropriate material? I am also planning on getting USMLE secrets books since I was told it was a very good reading source.

Do you think that reading through FA and Crush step2 would also be needed to score well?

Any other book recommendations you could make? Thanks.

I think any two of Crush, FA, Secrets, or boards and wards along with world should be plenty. World will be your primary learning source, if you spend a lot of time going over the answers -- it's basically a good text on everything.
