Step 2CS - how long for score to be reported?

Hi guys,

I am an IMG and I am planning to schedule my step 2 CS so that I can have the score back for the 2013 match.

Could you advice me:
1) how long did it take you to get your step 2 cs score?
2) when would be the latest that you would sit the exam?

The more replies the better : )

Do you mean this year's Match, or applying in the fall to match March 2014? If the former you're pretty much SOL at this point, as you would need to take the exam by 12/31 in order to have results by the day rank lists are due.

Thank K31 for your reply. I apologise for the confusion and my mistake in writing. I want to apply in September 2013 (with the hope of matching in 2014). I have read the Step 2cs reporting schedule and they mention 3 weeks. But they also mention that 2% might be longer.

With this post I am kind of hoping to gain some experience advice and insight on how accurate this timeline is.

They say they will have your score back to you by the end of the reporting period. They know the deadlines we're working with, and I've never heard of anyone getting their score late.

If I were in your position as an IMG, the latest I'd take the test would be July 13th--your score should be back by the time you submit ERAS.
