i got interview few days after my step3
,although i failed step 3..70
now i am worried ,may be they called me without seeing my result on USMLE Transcripts,and is this thing is going to effect my ranking status by the program,😕

If you got an interview invitation a few days after your took Step 3, or even a few days after the score was reported, it is HIGHLY likely that they had no idea you failed. Hospitals are behemoths and for mail to get to the appropriate place, into your file and recognized will take many many days.

If Step 3 is required by the program (unlikely unless you are applying for an advanced position, ie, PGY-3), then YES it will affect your ranking. Most programs just want to know if you have passed and what your plans for it if you haven't. If you have a reasonable answer as to why you failed an exam that has a very high pass rate, and a good plan to pass the 2nd time around, they may take a chance on you. Program dependent..no way to know for sure.

i applied for pgy-1 .step 3 is not a req, but i wonder even during interview i got an idea that PD had no idea about my result,how is it possible my worry is that as they r making ROL next wk,will they review my whole application including transcripts,or ranking will be based entirely on my interview.
