I have recently been told that a great way to study for both STEP 2 and COMLEX level 2 is to use BOTH MTB step 2 and MTB Step 3 as resources?

Has anyone done the same and care to share experiences?

I thought they were very similar books. I just used MTB 3 for the non_IM subjects and then Step Up to Medicine for IM. I thought it was a good book review. Nothing is better than just working through UW with purpose.

To me, there is no real way to prepare for the ambiguity of the real test. I can not offer a better way to study.

Just trust your prep because it seems to work out for most. Just be prepared on test day to see longer questions stems and not clear cut presentations and key phrases. That leave you wanting to put at least 2 answers or trying to figure out why this one is really better than that one.

Perfect ! Thank your. What are your thoughts on the OMM portion? I used the green book last year . The OMM questions are actually what hurt my score last year for Level 1. Personally I didn't think it to be adaquent

The green book is plenty except for a more thorough cord level memorization strategy and some chapman points. Do some omm questions too. My step 2 had some pretty difficult omm. Ton of pelvic and sacrum!

Ddrumem: thanks for your response. I agree that my level 1 had some pretty difficult OMM as well. I was shocked . I'll be sure to spend some time with the green book as well.

Thanks again for your input
