I have friends that just got their scores back. A lot of people scored 100 points lower on the COMLEX (DO Exam) Step II than their Step I. They took them just recently so as to have the scores available when applying.
Is there a way around lower Step II scores? From what I understood is that your Step I is very important and most people don't even get step II scores until usually after matching.
I feel pretty bad for my friends and obviously wish I had something better to tell them than "im sorry" and to try to push their strengths when applying.
My friends are all involved and volunteer within these residency programs they are interested in.
I thought programs looked at the individual as a whole not just a board score, but I am in a different field all together and my residency looked more at the complete applicant, their level of involvement, on top of grades etc.
