Can someone tell me how to study for the step II exam. Also, tell me if this score is going to make a difference in getting fellowships after IM.

the rule of thumb was
2 months for step 1
2 weeks for step 2
2 days for step 3

ymmv.

as for affecting fellowships, it depends on how competitive the program is and which fellowship; a good score will help you only minimally, but a bad score is something that may significantly hurt your application in a competitive field.

I studied 8 days, used crush the boards and the mock exam. Got a 226.
