really new to the whole step 2 prep process
kept hearing that step up to med was the new fa for step 2, and then blueprints for everything except surgery to use during rotations
but now im hearing more about step up to step 2 book. like whats up with that
apparantly step up to step 2 is the "real" prep book for step 2
while step up to medicien is more for only internal shelf?
I kinda thinkin buying both would be waste of time, what books should i buy now
how many people are doing the year long uworld thing, i have to take step 2 prolly within 9 months, so seemed like waste to do year long subscription given might not actually use it til test is closer
but isnt there some value to studying outright and saving valueable world questions until the last 2 months before exam for dedicated study time, and maybe just use wikiprep or kaplan right now??
I was previously just forcing myself to automatically take step 2 in time to send scores for residency to be strategic, but in actuality, this is only strategic if you do well. I have a medicore score by sdn standards, at a 98/228.
How much will it actually help if I can pull a 240-250 on step 2, because instead of taking time out to study for step 2, and run the risk of not improving my app by scoring the same, I can actually do another 2 months of good rotations and a notable site and possibly add another letter or something
