I got a letter and e-mail from Browm stating they will start interview notifications in Feb for standard MD applicants. If you are an MD/PhD applicant, you find out in Jan.

Ooh awesome, congrats on the invite...I got a letter via snail mail telling me the dates that we might hear from them by, I think...my mom actually read it to me over the phone because I'm away 😉 In any case...I think it was FEB 1 for standard MD applicants

that's a great question that will probably go unanswered since Brown just starting the standard route.

here's some info i found out- after speaking with the admissions staff, they told me that they're interviewing a "couple hundred" applicants for 10 spots. are any of you turning down the interview invite b/c of the odds?

do you know how many people they're interviewing out of applicants who completed secondaries?

any info or thoughts would be much appreciated. thanks!

crap, i'm so stupid and did not know about the odds.

that's ridiculous....too bad i already booked my plane tickets, but it was only $70 roundtrip from philly to providence..

is anyone not going to go now after this news?

derf- that's true...it's a really great opportunity. it's just a lot of $$$.

yancantcook- $70 roundtrip, what a good deal! my airfare is going to be around $300. but we've invested so much time, money, and effort in this process, we might as well take advantage of this interview no matter what the odds are. and it's great that we were even invited for an interview!

I'm from Florida and turning them down because I got the letter after one of the dates had already past...That left me with 4 dates to choose from--two of them I will be in the Bahamas...one was like the day AFTER I got the letter...And the last one I will be driving back to school with my boyfriend already...Yeah...Late notice? Little bit...Not worth it for me...Not for those odds.

i just got an invite postmarked dec 21! i don't think i'll turn it down unless i get into nyu or u chicago in the meantime. the interview dates they offered me are for february.

no, that's the latest they'll notify standard applicants. last week or so they started sending out invites.
