hello all,
believe it or not, im still working on my dec 15 apps..
a question i had was...i dont have any honors other than being on dean's list for a couple semesters..
is it appropriate to list it on the apps given that its already on the transcripts?

I don't see why not. I listed on my resume that I made Dean's List for # semesters.

Woah, hold it right there! I am DEFINITELY STILL WORKING ON MY DECEMBER 15TH APPLICATIONS. Hell, I'm still contacting professors this week (no I'm not proud of it, but I can't change it now!)

If I hadn't had to re-take the GRE in October, and retake the subject GRE in November, I would have been on top of all this stuff!

But the fact remains that our applications have to get done.

Go ahead and put Dean's List on your apps. What are they gonna do? They might not care, but they aren't going to give you a ticket for it.

And please don't forget, everyone, that the time your application is received by a university usually matters VERY little, as long as it isn't grossly late. Most departments and grad schools get so inundated with mail that they don't notice exactly when things come in, and they go through the admissions assistants first, not to your POIs. Even if you get stuff in late, you can still be considered for admission.

I'm still working on them too, and I probably still will be on Dec 14th, 'cause I'm trying to put myself in debt solely on the basis of overnighting stuff. Also, because I am hardcore like that. The question is - hardcore what?

I feel your pain, I've been up all night writing a term paper, just so I can hand it in on time....and officially only have 2 classes left until I graduate. 😀
