Stipulations for collecting sign on bonus?

Has anyone collected on these huge sign on bonuses DSOs are offering? I'm seeing them offer 50k - 200k sign in bonuses ij my area but wondering if anyone has actually collected the full amount. Thanks!

Most often they are really retention bonuses meaning you only get it or get to keep it if you stay on for a year or two.

and they make it extremely difficult for you to leave if you decide not to stay on.
