I started volunteering at a homeless shelter as a tutor and serving food after my primary was submitted. After a month of doing this and my hospital volunteering, I realized I didn’t have the time to do both and quit my hospital volunteering. My hospital volunteering was one of my three significant activities in the AMCAS work/activities section and I expected to continue it through matriculation. I still think it is significant because it had a large impact on me, but I’ve realized that impact has already been made and that my homeless shelter volunteering helps others more than the hospital volunteering.
Should I mention in my secondaries that I’ve quit the hospital volunteering or send an update letter later on to each school (including the above justification)? I’ve prewritten 10 secondaries and am expecting to get them soon. (AMCAS not verified but submitted 6/6)
