Hi all, so I will get straight to them point. So I applied to a program that is far from where my med school is for a residency program. I liked the interview day but there was one resident that rubbed me the wrong way. Just seemed not as welcoming as everyone else. And seemed like she is a problem to work with (from my limited exposure to her). I also noticed that the other residents would talk over her during lunch and she got upset several times. To me specifically she asked, "so why did you apply here out of ....(name of state where my med school is)?" I answered her that there aren't alot of programs for my chosen field in my state. It wasn't necessarily what she said but how she said it.
Anyway, I liked everyone else but she will be my senior resident if I match there. Not sure what my "gut feeling" is. I thought the PD and the other people who interviewed me were awesome.
Just wanted to hear anybody's opinion, preferably someone who has gone/going through the match. Don't want to miss out on a program because I am avoiding one person.
Expecting alot of views and very few answers lol...
If someone can give their two cents, it will be appreciated.
