Don't have influenza!!! Seriously, I came down with the flu the week before the April test.[/b]

Agree with HrvatskiDoktor
I took the MCAT with mono. I know what you mean. That sucks. We found out I had it 2 weeks before the mcat, and I still did ok, I guess.

I always get sick for finals week...

You could have, at that point, rescheduled for only a $50 fee. If you are within a week you are out the full $210 whether you take it or not. That was the only reason I took it. I was like, "by some miracle..." But no, I got to take it again. Oddly enough, I passed a kidney stone on that Monday and took the MCAT that Friday.

The MCAT people were not very nice on the phone either. I was like, "I have a doctor's note." They were like that doesn't matter. I say, "So, if I were hit by a car, in a coma in the hospital the week before the test?" The reply was, "Still charged full price."

Seriously...I understand that a lot of people probably get test anxiety and want out last minute...but you've got to have a line somewhere!

I applied this year with the hope that an above avg GPA would counteract a below avg MCAT...
I could be wrong, but from reading through many a threads it seems like the MCAT is still weighted more so than GPA??
