Hear me closely, bro. I do not have to deal with anything I don't agree on. But hey, how many chicks have you gotten with your "law of nature"? Whatever works for you. Peace. :asshat:

wait, people are taking the things said in this thread seriously?

That is brilliant. Raw yet philosophical. Quoted as my signature for eternity.

No. Did I ever say I get chicks because of muscle? It's all about the D. 😉
I guess, I did sounded a lil harsh. I'm a I take no BS guy. lol telling me to deal with, well it sparks up my angry side.

Hey guys, another question! I posted a question in the radiology forum. My question is, how many hours per week do academic radiologists work, and how much pay do they take home per year?

And also, can non-academic radiologists choose to work 30 hours a week, and still take home at least 180k a year? Thanks guys.

YES! I was hoping you would find your way into the specialty forums. Dis gon be good.

HEY guys another question! Which RESIDENCY specialties have the lowest hours that they have to work? How many hours do radiology residents work? How many hours do psych residents work? How many hours do PMR residents work? And how many hours do derm residents work? Thank you guys

Ok seriously google is your friend. All I did was type in "***** residency hours" filling in the specialty, and these popped up. some of these may be a bit old, but the point is do your own research first

the only question that hasn't been asked is "when is the best time to get married and can you pay for it without going into debt?".
She did ask if getting married while she was in med school and/or residency would make the long distance relationship more feasible. (more or less)
But she won't have to go into debt for the wedding because she's gonna take that balla BS in Bio and get a job making at least $60k straight outta undergrad. But she'll still have to go to med school because she needs at least $180k, preferably $300k+ and doesn't want to be a paper-pusher (which is apparently something people can do to make $60k/yr. Sign me up)

Shoot, I'm going to have to have some children to cancel out the ignorance streampaw's offspring will most likely bring to the universe.

YOU GUYS, I just found my new home. Mommd.com. There are actually physicians who work PART-TIME, and where the word "part-time" actually means 20-30 hours per week, instead of your definition of it (40-45 hours per week)! *gasp*.

was this whole thing just a viral marketing campaign for mommd

it's the only explanation
Never heard of that before. Kind of weird how it advocates for women in medicine but the name of the site is mommd. I know plenty of women who don't want children. Thankfully, OP will have enough for everyone!

That's a really good point, did not occur to me.

Anyway, BEGONE OP!!

right, but are they making the 200-300k salary you desire?

i know part-time physicians, all women, and they all have made comments about sacrificing salary for lifestyle. all of the part-time physicians i know have spouses who are either full-time physicians or otherwise have a high salary to compensate.

They are going to eat you alive. Lol.

No one tell OP about the gender wage gap.

No one tell OP that those are hours physicians earn after residency-hell.

No one remind OP that she isn't even in medical school, and that the admissions process is designed to sniff out sociopathic liars who cannot perform well in community college courses.

lol alright this post definitely put it over the edge for me. im calling 100% troll on this. before there was a slight chance that she is some neurotic 17 year old who honestly believes that shes gonna stay with her boyfriend forever (good luck with that) and fly back and forth every weekend to see him, not to mention have a kid every year during residency. well teenagers can be quite dumb, but now its just getting too hard to believe.

Im actually still not a troll. I just found mommd yesterday. And why would you think that earning 120k instead of 300kconsidered poor? I think its pretty great.

Didn't you want 180k+ to give your 4 kids everything they need?
yes, her exact words were:
"But I need to make at least 180k to have 4 kids, so that they live comfortably and get college paid for."
and
"But 180k is not enough. I would like to match into derm and make 300k+. That is better. Plus, If 300k makes me work full time, I can work part time for like 220k. Like 30 hours a week."

Lol this thread is epic in so many ways. A random fight exploded and this delicious episode is given some epic desserts thanks to additional streampaw questions.

Didn't you want 180k+ to give your 4 kids everything they need?
She NEEDs 180k to give them everything they WANT.
But she did say 300k+ would be better. She did say that she would instead accept working 30 hours a week for 220k.

And I guess that's working from home doing radiology now that she's apparently turned her back on derm since being exposed to "subcutaneous black ball disease"

No, I havent turned my back to derm. Derm is still my top choice. I am just exploring alternatives in case I dont match into derm. Rad is an alternative.

@streampaw So do you really like dermatology or you just want to go into it for the lifestyle?

Didn't you want 180k+ to give your 4 kids everything they need?
That would be good. But I could settle for less, as long as it's over 110k+ and as long as I earn that money while working no more than 30 hours a week.

Well anyways I hope you are a good looking lady. Most of the female dermatologist I have met are hot.

or she can just go to the courthouse and pay $39.95. fast. easy. no mess. no food to prepare for others.

while at it, she can do home birth to save on hospital costs and have her ob/gyn resident friends help her out.
