so i heard venting off randomly helps to de-stress. so i am just going to vent off and any of you who are stressed out after long exhausting day of staring at your book and getting or not getting much done, feel free to vent off anything that is bothering you.

I am studying o-chem and it just seems like for every page i finish reading and flip, there is one automatically magically added to this book.

I mean i am sitting here to review my o-chem, which i already did almost 1 1/2 times (1/2 coz i went thru it super quick with just notes) and i am suppose to be reviewing but i find like a gazzilliiiion more things and this review is turning out to be like a 1st encounter with chemistry.

I have issues with reviewing stuff. I go into too much nitty gritty and cant help myself.

HOW DO YOU ACTUALLY REVIEW??? when you are using an additional book to go through quickly to aid your already existing notes. is schaums the wrong book to pick???

arrghh(pulling my hair out---no literally!):bang::annoyed::boom:

Have you heard of the "Made Ridiculous" series of books, the Organic chemistry book of it is actually excellent, consider buying that I find it better than Schaums

You're setting yourself up for failure with schaums.....

The kaplan blue book is actually pretty decent for orgo review. Buy the ACS organic chemistry book for problems (the ACS book is better than destroyer).

yeah i am going to give up on schaums after tonight. I actually used kaplan and destroyer and kaplan mcat ochem book and these were very straightforward and simple. I have all teh reactions down. I just decided to o over schaums since i had bought it and many people on different posts said it was helpful. But i really feel i wasted a lot of time with it.

its just set up weird.

I still have 7 weeks. but I am trying to study kaplan bb and AP cliffs. and i see stuff on the destroyer tests that I got no clue to I m kinda freaking out here i donno if i can do this :'(

coffinhead,
I'm in your same position. It seems like there's so much to study -_-. How many hours a day are you studying?

2-3 hours. im mainly doing bio. I have no idea about o chem though and im good with Gchem that shouldnt be that much of a problem. but this really is really starting to suck after i get to the destroyer and they are so detailed and are about things i never went through in undergrad yet.

im done with 2 years.

o chem1 n 2
Gchem 1 n 2
Bio 1 n 2
Cell bio
genetics

i work part time but i am trying to put in atleast 4-5 hours a day. sometimes more. But there have been days when i sat there for 8 hours and probably only achieved what takes 1 hour. And then there are days like today when i am working extra hours so i wont really have time to study.

I woke up this morning freaking out thinking OMG i have 4 weeks to DAT. WTF

so i am sure pretty much this whole week, till sunday...i will be stuck with O-chem and destroyer.

then atleast 1 week to study gchem with destroyer

1 week for math and destroyer

atleast 2 weeks of full length tests(topscore and achiever) with extra CDP tests.

so When will i have the time to review again before the DAT???

I need another week to go back and brush up on bio, ochem rxns, and reactatnts, g chem equations, math conversions and formulas.

OMG can i do this all in 4 weeks or should i get that additional week?? but i am scared if i do move the date ahead i will slow down even more and end up being in the same exact position
