Narrow it down to what your prof wants you to know. Do they supply learning objectives or powerpoint? You certainly won't need all the details held in those 300 pgs. If you can figure out what you'll be tested on it'll make the course a lot more manageable.
Resources to think about:
>NETTER'S NEUROANATOMY COLORING BOOK (seriously, it's awesome & really helped mix up the neuroA studying with a 'new' approach that was more fun than Anki and lectures)
>A textbook of Neuroanatomy by Patestas; we used this textbook, it was fantastic if you want another perspective. Very well written, thorough, and gave great overviews of the topic at hand before diving deep.
If you don't have LO for your course/lectures, ask your prof what to focus on, almost always they'll be willing to give you some hints. If you're not a gunner (and want to be a decent person, to put it mildly), this information may be really helpful to your classmates.
If that doesn't work, get together with your classmates and discuss what they think you need to know of that information. The group consensus seems to consistently reflect what is emphasized on test day, and has been an effective way that I've been able to cut down on the inane details and focus on what matters when prepping for an exam.
For this course, yeah you'll have to work really really hard. No replacement for book/seat time on this one
