What kind of student discount is everyone getting for Carl Zeiss loupes? My local dealer quoted me 15% off of retail. Other manufacturers have given me much larger discounts than this.

I haven't had any discount for the quote I think.

$1300 CAN for the 2.5x Sport frames.

buy something for less. you'll eventually stop or reduce using your first set of loupes for some reason and buy something else.

But seriously, screw Zeiss, spring for DFV, preferably the 3.5 (or 4.5) ef. Best decision I made all year.

why 3.5x ?! I always thought/been told that its too much magnification ... ie. you will see nothing else and loose sight of the "bigger picture" (no pun intended)
