Yeah, I think it might raise some eyebrows. You hoping to get lucky the night before? If no sex preference is listed, is it inappropriate to ask an opposite-sex student to host you?

Oh, so you mean say that you'll take a male or female host and not that you want to request a female host. I don't see a problem with that. I think that the hosting program will give you a guy or girl depending on what's available, but you'll probably get a guy before a girl though.i'm just running out of potential hosts.
i only ask because one of my fellow interviewees a couple weeks ago mentioned having stayed with 2 female students for one of his previous interviews.

well, case simply provides you with a list of willing student hosts. none of the women i've written, however, seems to be available to host me . . .
so it'd be a matter of awkwardly writing a dude and asking to sleep on his couch . . . hmmph. hotel sounds like a better alternative, i suppose.
.So you are only writing women for student hosting?
It is like you expect that generally interviewees spend the night with opposite sex hosts, and any other way would be just wrong. I am pretty sure either way you go (male or female) you'll end up sleeping on the couch.
I have a friend who hooked up with her student interviewer, and then attended there later. I wonder what the student interviewer's eval was like 😉

Don't interview evaluations depend on your performance? 😀
i'm a woman. i *think* that clarifies some things, although i'm not quite sure what you're saying with your first sentence. i'd prefer to stay with a woman, but wouldn't mind having a male host. i'm just don't know whether it's the done thing.

"The applicant has a very long standing interest in medicine and doesn't beat around the bush, but rather inserts himself right into the situations that will achieve his goal. This is his standard approach even if will leave him and those around him exhausted yet quite satisfied in the end."I have a friend who hooked up with her student interviewer, and then attended there later. Would gender have not been a more appropriate term for the title? I haven't heard the term "sex" used in this context, it's a little odd. Just my rant.
Sex is the more accurate term. One's sex is either male or female. Gender may feel more comfortable to say, but sex is more precise and correct.
She saw me, gave me a little suggestive smirk, and left. I never saw her afterwards, and she didn't attend my school.
j/k...Counting the seconds before someone takes the bait and leaves the obligatory jab at Callogician's manhood...j/k

No, there is no taboo preventing you from doing this if you're comfortable with it and the host is too. Personally, I would not be comfortable staying with a strange guy (aren't they ALL strange 😛 ), so I never did. Nor do I host guys. But other people do host opposite-sex interviewees, and I've never heard of anyone having a problem because of it.If no sex preference is listed, is it inappropriate to ask an opposite-sex student to host you?
either way, the title is "misleading" ... and i'm left unsatisfied.
Lol I wonder if desperate M1's apply to be student hosts in the hopes that they may be paired with a naive pre-med 😉, I'm sure it has happened
Lucky guy!
to the person interviewing at case, if the list has no preference, thats becase the host indicated such. I hosted both genders in my time. No biggie.
But then again, i don't know anyone who has gotten a hangover from too much sex

The school got the short end of the stick - the student interviewer and the applicant both "got off" easy.He is not a lucky guy the girl was playing him. Pisses me off when men let women manipulate them with sex.
Some of those UCLA med students that I tried to talk to today needed some LOVING... Some of those girls looked old too - 25 to 30+, and I bet they were despeate for some! I still can't believe they tried to take out some of theri sexual frustrations out on me. 👎
Haha, I've got an attractive female classmate that I assumed was in the 26-27 range, and then she said she was 30. I suddenly felt old for thinking she was cuteYou think 25-30 is OLD? Wow, you are soooo missing out dude.

A little stress relief never hurt anybody.
Great martial arts experts (like Helio Gracie), professional assassins, and bullfighters often regard copulation (that is not used for conception) to be detrimental to one's physical energy and to one's senses (bullfighters claim it slows the eye speed reaction).
You might relax well, but then you might not be as quick on the draw with interview questions.
To the OP, stay with opposite sex hosts if you have to, but please, don't let them catch you smelling their underwear drawers. That probably would make for an awkward situation.

Anyone remember the Italian soccer team's strategy in the 2002 World Cup? They didn't have sex during the easier rounds to let their testosterone build up, and then they had sex before the later rounds because (their coach claimed) that it released the pent-up aggression or something or another. It got a lot of publicity, and ultimately did not work. They lost. Couldn't find anything on Google about it though.Great martial arts experts (like Helio Gracie), professional assassins, and bullfighters often regard copulation (that is not used for conception) to be detrimental to one's physical energy and to one's senses (bullfighters claim it slows the eye speed reaction).
