Agreed, how about they simply set a limit on tuition or else the school cannot accept any federally backed student loan. Problem solved. Yet here we are.

Because then that's socialism and we all know who gets riled up over that. Same logic could apply to gas prices and federal subsidies.

Is it though. Is education really a free market. Has competition in higher education ever led to lower prices or better schools?
