Hi everyone,

Sorry to ask this question but I'm starting to get really overwhelmed so I'm hoping someone can help.

I'm looking into loans for the first time (I worked all through undergrad so didn't have to take any for that). I'm a BC resident but I lived in Ontario for 10 years and have lived in Alberta doing my masters for the past two. As far as I am aware I am NOT eligible for multiple province loans so BC would be my best bet since I did highschool and undergrad there.

1. The BC student loan process says it now integrates the federal loans with provincial. Does that mean I fill out only ONE application to apply for BOTH federal and provincial loans?
2. I'll be applying for a line of credit. For those of you that did, how did you decide which bank to go through since they all seem the same to me...National bank of Canada, RBC, TD all seem to offer the same thing!
3. I have lived on my own for the past two years now and it's been 2 years since I finished my undergrad, 7 years since I finished high school. Does that classify me as an independent student and my parents' income will not be a factor in my loan assessment?

I really appreciate the guidance. Those BC students out there that could outline the process they took (PM me or otherwise) that would be great.

Thanks!
