I use a student metrocard when going to college and use it on the way back. I know that if you get caught with it, you receive a 100$ fine, but does anybody know if it goes on their record which can prevent someone from getting into dental schools once accepted? Basically will it show up when the schools run a background check on the student? Thanks

I'm pretty sure it doesn't go on your record and dental schools will not find out about it.

Just admit that you got a $100 citation today lol.

Na I didn't, I'm just a paranoid kid who over analyzes everything, so I just wanted to be sure, but I understand why you would assume I got 1... + I always check my surroundings before swiping haha

Haha I actually got a ticket for this in HS.

I don't think it shows up though, I had to do a background check when I joined the military a few years later and that never appeared in records (they had a copy of the court records in my entrance packet, it was blank).

I disclosed it anyway, I'm pretty sure no school is going to be like you got a 80 dollar ticket once....no dentistry for you.

Dude, unless you stole the Hope Diamond and got away with it clean, why would you admit to this? There is no way you got caught for this and it's on your record.
