Well I can't speak for med school just yet but I can fill you in on what we do as FNP's and RN's in school. I imagine most med schools are pretty similar and would just add whatever is left out from what we learned.
We did not have to give each other injections or IVs- had models and pt.s in clinicals to learn on.
PE: We paired up in our lab time and would do HP's and the full exam minus the pelvic/rectal/breast stuff. It was a good chance to learn. If one student had a cool history or murmur kind of thing than we would all listen, etc. To further our learning we were encouraged to round up anyone who would let us practice our PE's on them. I remember doing some friends and family members.
