I am so confused about how to account for classes I took on a Study Abroad program. I've read the AMCAS instructions, but I'm still lost. SO please help me and tell me if I'm understanding this correctly.

I studied abroad through a Fordham sponsored program, but I do not go to Fordham. The transcript used to transfer credit to my school is from Fordham it has letter grades. My school transfers credit as Pass/Fail.

Do I then include Fordham as a college I attended, but as a study abroad program unafilliated with a foreign institution? And I therefore need to include a Fordham transcript with the actual grades in my AMCAS? Because if so, that blows, because those British theatre teachers grade way harsh, and even though it doesn't affect my BCPM GPA, it does affect my cumulative in a way that wasn't reflected on my own school's transcript..

i would call AMCAS and ask them...they are pretty helpful

List the foreign college, with a transcript exception, and list your courses under that college. List the classes and grades exactly the way that Fordham did, on their tranny.

List Fordham, but list no classes. That button for "not affiliated" is confusing - I did not click it, and I had exactly the same situation as you...I have no idea what that button is for, but for some reason I think it is some special deal, not the usual study abroad program. I am veriified, with no problems or changes to any of this, so take that FWIW...

Make sure that the Fordham tranny explicitly states that those courses were taken in a study abroad program at foreign school X...my transfer uni tranny did not, and I had to ask them to include a cover letter/memo with the tranny explaining that...it was a pain, but that is in the AMCAS fine print...

It is confusing, but if you do this, you will be fine. I agree with others - if confused, call AMCAS - quick and helpful responses from them on every question I had...
