I think that you'll want to apply through a US institution. It should be cheaper and you'll get college credit from your home university, assuming that there is an exchange program you can take advantage of...

No guarantee you'll get credit for the classes you take unless you do it this way. I imagine the relative difficulty will be about the same, too.
